Disclaimer/Use Constraints:
The data presented are for “reported” crimes that are part of the UCR Part 1 report, not actual crime. They do not represent the total crime in the city.
If a reported crime includes more than one offense, then only the most serious offense is reported and the lesser offense is not reported. For example, if a car is stolen and the driver is murdered, only the murder would be reported in the Uniform Crime Report, Part 1. (Please note that when local crime data is obtained from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, they include all reported crimes in their local reports. The UCR limits the reporting to only one crime per reported incident.)
