The Community Atlas is no longer available

Founded in 2006, the Community Atlas provided citizens, professionals, and students with comprehensive and accessible data — a resource designed to visualize and compare current and historical information through interactive mapping for local communities and neighborhoods.

The Community Atlas was maintained by the Florida Center for Community Design and Research at the University of South Florida but relied on funding from local governments and other sponsors.

In November of 2017, the Community Atlas was discontinued due to a lack of funding.
